Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor), also known as Coriolus versicolor, gets its name from its striking resemblance to the colorful, fanned-out tail of a wild turkey. It is one of the most common mushroom species throughout the Northern Hemisphere, growing on fallen logs and stumps of over 70 different hardwood species and occasionally on conifers. In the wild, you are most likely to spot them between May and December.

While it may not be as world-famous as the Reishi mushroom, Turkey Tail has a rich history that stretches back centuries.

It is one of the most beta-glucan-rich mushrooms in existence. Its most renowned bioactive compounds, found specifically in Turkey Tail, are Polysaccharopeptide (PSP) and Polysaccharide-K (also known as PSK or Krestin).

Ingredients: Organic 100% Turkey Tail (Trametes Versicolor) mushroom powder.
