Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum / Lingzhi) originates from the mountains of East Asia. While it does grow naturally in Lithuania, it is rare and officially listed in the Red Data Book. Reishi loves moisture and shade, usually found on decaying hardwoods.
Characterized by their kidney-like shape, Reishi mushrooms can reach diameters of 20 cm or more. They have been a staple of traditional Asian wellness for over 2,000 years. Reishi is rich in bioactive compounds, including triterpenoids, polysaccharides, steroids, fatty acids, amino acids, nucleosides, proteins, and alkaloids.
About Our Reishi Mushroom Powder:
Our dried Reishi mushrooms are processed using an industrial superfine grinding method, reducing them to a near-dust consistency. This process breaks down chitin, releasing a broad spectrum of beneficial nutrients. Chitin is the primary building block of mushroom cell walls—the same durable material found in the exoskeletons of arthropods. Without disrupting the chitin molecules, these nutrients remain "locked" within the cells and pass through the digestive system unabsorbed.
The extract is prepared using spray drying, a technique that transforms liquid into dry powder by rapidly drying it with hot gas. This is arguably the most effective drying method for heat-sensitive substances like food and pharmaceuticals, or materials requiring an exceptionally uniform particle size.
Finally, the dry extract powder is vacuum-blended with dried Reishi fruiting bodies. This further disrupts the cell walls, significantly enhancing the bioavailability of the intracellular compounds.

The History of Reishi Mushroom
Reishi boasts a 4,000-year history in East Asia, earning its reputation as a legendary staple of ancient herbal traditions. Often associated with the concept of "immortality," these mushrooms are classified within the Fu Zheng category of traditional Chinese medicine.
For much of history, Reishi was incredibly rare and expensive, as it was difficult to find in the wild and even harder to cultivate. This changed in the 1970s when a Japanese researcher named Shigeaki Mori developed an effective cultivation method, making Reishi widely accessible and more affordable.
